ReviewSeal ("ReviewSeal," "we," "us" or "our") provides review automation software for local and home-service businesses. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information across our website, platform and related services (the "Service"). It applies to our customers, their end customers whose data is processed through the Service, and visitors to our website.

We collect personal information to operate the Service, communicate with you, process payments and help our customers collect reviews from their own customers. We act as a data controller for information about our own customers and website visitors, and as a data processor for the end-customer contact data that our customers upload to send review requests.
We do not sell your personal information.

04Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process personal information on the following bases: performance of a contract (to deliver the Service you signed up for), legitimate interests (to improve and secure the Service), consent (for certain marketing and messaging), and legal obligation (to meet regulatory and tax requirements). Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
05Messaging & consent
The Service sends review requests and reminders by SMS and email on behalf of our customers. Our customers are responsible for obtaining any consent required by law (including CASL, CAN-SPAM and the TCPA where applicable) before contacting their own customers through the Service.
Opting out. Every message includes a way to opt out — recipients can reply STOP to text messages or use the unsubscribe link in emails. Once someone opts out, we suppress further messages to them for that business.
08Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter only as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Customers may request deletion of the end-customer data they have uploaded at any time.
09How we protect data
We use industry-standard safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring — to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss or misuse. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your data and will notify affected users and regulators of a breach where the law requires.
10Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent.
- Receive a portable copy of your data.

11International data transfers
We may process and store information in Canada, the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we use appropriate safeguards — such as standard contractual clauses — to protect it in line with this policy and applicable law.
12Children's privacy
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
13Third-party links & services
Our website and the Service may link to or integrate with third-party sites and platforms that we do not control. This policy does not cover their practices — we encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you use.
14Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
